The Project

SYN Card Club is a community card game organization based in Arizona that supports local nonprofits through gameplay events and membership revenue. The organization needed a full web presence — a professional site that could handle business directory listings, event management, membership subscriptions, and charity partner promotion all in one place.

The Challenge

Building a multi-functional WordPress site that handled four distinct needs simultaneously: a public-facing community platform, a searchable local business directory with coupon integration, a recurring subscription eCommerce system, and an iCal event sync for game nights. The site also needed to be performance-optimized for SEO from day one, with clean hosting infrastructure on xCloud VPS and Cloudflare DNS.

What Was Built

WORDPRESS PLATFORM

Full WordPress build on xCloud VPS with Hello Elementor theme, Elementor Canvas template, and custom HTML widgets for all page layouts. SSL configured, staging-to-production deployment flow established.

BUSINESS DIRECTORY

Directorist plugin configured with custom fields including a coupon system — local businesses can list with the club and offer member discounts. Individual coupon pages built as HTML files deployed via Elementor HTML blocks.

eCOMMERCE MEMBERSHIP

Stripe subscription checkout integrated for $25/month recurring membership — supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and Cash App Pay. Full WooCommerce configuration with product setup and payment flow.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

iCal calendar plugin installed and configured to sync game night events — members can subscribe to the calendar and receive automatic event updates.

SEO FOUNDATION

Full Rank Math SEO configuration, Google Search Console verification, GA4 analytics setup, sitemap submission, and structured NAP/local SEO implementation across all pages.

HOSTING & INFRASTRUCTURE

xCloud VPS deployment with LiteSpeed/OLS server, Cloudflare DNS, SSL certificate configuration, and established repeatable staging-to-production deployment process including 7G/8G firewall management.
