The Project

Skoot Card Game is an original card game brand built around a unique tournament-style gameplay experience. The brand needed a full web presence to introduce the game, showcase the card art, drive product sales, and build an audience — all while standing out in search results against the similarly-named classroom game 'Scoot'.

The Challenge

Building a distinctive eCommerce site for a brand-new card game with no existing online presence — from zero to a fully functional product site with WooCommerce checkout, Stripe payment processing, a 10-card art slider, and SEO targeting that clearly differentiates 'Skoot Card Game' from the classroom activity 'Scoot'. The site also needed to achieve strong PageSpeed performance scores while running on xCloud VPS infrastructure with Cloudflare DNS.

What Was Built

CUSTOM WEBSITE

Full custom HTML/CSS site built without a theme — clean hand-coded markup, Bangers headings, Open Sans body, black header/footer, white and black alternating sections, and a rainbow stripe divider system for visual brand identity.

CARD ART SLIDER

10-card rotating image slider showcasing the full Skoot card art collection — auto-advancing with arrow controls, displaying 3 cards on desktop and 1 on mobile, with smooth transition animations.

eCOMMERCE & PAYMENTS

Full WooCommerce product setup with Stripe checkout integration — Google Pay express checkout, flat-rate shipping configuration, and a complete order flow from cart to confirmation.

SEO & PERFORMANCE

Achieved 100/100 Google PageSpeed SEO score — Rank Math configuration, WWW canonicalization via Cloudflare redirect rules, structured meta descriptions, and targeted keyword strategy differentiating Skoot from the classroom game 'Scoot'.

HOSTING & INFRASTRUCTURE

xCloud VPS deployment with LiteSpeed/OLS server, Cloudflare DNS configuration, SSL certificate setup, and domain management. WWW canonicalization fixed via Cloudflare page rules.

BRAND IDENTITY

Complete visual brand system — Skoot logo, custom AI-generated card character art (King, Queen, Jack characters), rainbow stripe brand divider, and consistent color system across all pages.
